Aplicação:
Cloreto de benzalcônio, como um algaecido bactericida, é amplamente utilizado na circulação de água de resfriamento em fábricas, água em usinas de energia, fábricas de papel, sistema de injeção de campos petrolíferos, bem como a desinfecção de equipamentos médicos. Também pode ser usado em piscinas, lavanderias, desinfecção sanitária e lavagem em locais públicos e limpeza de equipamentos na indústria alimentícia. BKC pode ser usado com outros bactericidas, tais como isotiazolinona, glutaraldeído, ditiocianometano e assim por diante para dar um efeito sinérgico. Mas não pode ser usado com agentes clorofenol. É também um agente nivelador para tingimento catiônico de fibras acrílicas.
